Welcome to Madness

Welcome to Madness. I tried to launch a newsletter on Substack some time ago, but I had a hard time getting things going. I was told that newsletters have to follow this or that formula to succeed, and I felt restricted by those boundaries. I also wasn’t sure if I wanted to be on Substack. I ended up stepping away from it while I reconsidered things.

I've decided to launch this newsletter on Ghost, and it’s not going to have many boundaries, but I’ll make sure it’s thoughtful and engaging. I've got lots of ideas, and I'm going to let it go where it goes.

I’ll mostly be covering politics, tech and science—as I have for many years. I intend to do some travel writing where I can, too. I invite you to come along for the ride, and I promise it won’t be boring.
